Rotovators
Rotovators
A rotovator (also known as a rotary tiller) cuts and grinds the soil by impact forces through multiple rotary blades mounted on a horizontal shaft.
Types of blade
L-shaped blade: most common due to the shape. Ideally if wanting to kill weeds and cause less soil pulverisation.
C-shapes blade: recommended for heavy or wet soils because they have fewer tendencies to clog
Long shank blade: ideal for deep cultivation. They need a longer shank than the L-shaped blade.
Speed blade: suitable for penetrating hard ground and mixing heavy thrash.
Straight knife blade: ideal if wanting to aerate the soil, loosen grass, eliminate soil compaction and improve moisture penetration.
